When you examine the Bible, you see the main characters are GOD (his Christ), Satan (his Antichrist, i.e. instead of Christ), Israel, and the nations who bless or curse her people or her land. We Christians try to make it all about us and yes, although we are saved by the blood and Grace of Jesus (Yeshua), we are grafted into that Olive Tree through Jesus Christ.
The Olive Tree represents the Spiritual Promises made to Abraham by God, who through Jesus Christ is also the root of this tree, as well as the branch and off spring of David. This, as Paul calls it, is the Commonwealth of Israel.
Commonwealth: an independent country or community, especially a democratic republic.
I’ve been watching some videos on the Internet; these mostly by Christians who are alarmed over the battle of, and in support of Israel. To begin with, as for myself, for years I’ve called myself a Messianic Christian. Now you may think: wait, aren’t all Christians Messianic? Actually most Christians are taught a Greek version of Christ, built on pagan traditions. This Greek religion comes off as a new or re-created one, although it has history from the beginning of time; and is the extension of Israel’s religion.
I became a Christian at the age of seven and was taught this same Greco version of God and his crucified Christ. However, it wasn’t until I was in my thirties that I became aware of the fact that God did not turn his back on Israel and the Jews and made the Church the replacement of the promise. That promise was given to Abraham’s seed, passed down through Millenniums to Yeshua, who IS the promise.
So then, what is a Messianic Christian? This is one who believes not only that Jesus is Christ, but that he is Yeshua HaMashiach, the long awaited Messiah of Israel – Jesus the Messiah (Yeshua is his Hebrew name and notice that I didn’t say the “ Messiah of the Jews”; not that he ISN’T but that’s not all. This is in keeping with our logic statement of Judah and his place with Israel and its Whole House. We’ll explain later).
Therefore, a Messianic Christian is one who relates to God’s entire outline for Israel, and the plan working throughout time to fulfill that promise. This term is not to be confused with a Messianic Jew; which is a Jew who is not only converted to Christianity, and by faith that Jesus is Messiah; but this is also one who keeps and respects the Hebrews ways of worship. The only difference with them is that Yeshua is Messiah and the fulfillment of the Torah. They also believe that Yeshua is the final sacrifice, and he is the final Atonement for sin; and that there is no more need for the spilling of the blood of lambs, goats, and bulls. The main difference in a Messianic Christian and a Messianic Jew is the latter was born a Jew and grew up in a synagogue with Jewish traditions, including waiting for the Messiah.
Therefore, now we understand that Jesus wasn’t born as a sudden fix for a plan gone bad; rather he was part of the plan from the beginning of time and his coming was foretold throughout scripture.
John 17:24 (Yeshua praying) Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.
A Messianic Christian is also one who, like the Jew, believes in the Feasts and ordinances of the LORD; and celebrates and Reverends the Torah, not in a legalistic approach as the Old Schoolmaster Law would teach. No, he or she is one who does not recite and review by rote for memorization God’s edicts; but lives them through our actions and reflects Christ in our everyday living. His life and actions are the LIVING TORAH. We understand that Jesus is God’s way by example for us, and His nature becomes ours through a born again spirit where we walk in His manner: the living Torah/Word.
Unfortunately, some of these get caught up in the legalism and fall back into the classroom of the Old Schoolmaster for more repetitious recitation by rote. Paul warns against this happening.
DON’T GO BACK TO THE OLD LAW!
Many professed Christians try to go back to the Old Law to determine what God requires of them today or to justify practices for which they can find no authority in the New Testament. Despite the fact that the Old Testament contains prophecy telling of a “new covenant” (Jeremiah 31:31-34) and the New Testament tells us the old law was “nailed… to the cross” (Colossians 2:14), many will blur the lines between the two laws. But this is dangerous. This website will give details as to why: http://www.plainbibleteaching.com/2011/06/14/do-not-go-back-to-the-old-law/
Jeremiah 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Hebrews _8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
A Messianic Christian is also one who doesn’t hold to the “replacement theology”, as many Christian believers have been taught. He or she is one who identifies with the Promise spoken to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the Israelites; and therefore Jesus/Yeshua did not come to create a new religion but to fulfill the old. Hence, one would see the Old & New Testaments as ONE and Judaism and Christianity as one, Alpha & Omega (first and last) which Jesus refers to himself as both:
Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty
Religions are the beliefs and interpretation of the Oracles of God by men, where as God’s way is whole and complete.
With that being said, let’s go back and look at more:
“What is replacement theology / supersessionism?”This link is to a website that explains these well.
Answer: Replacement theology (also known as supersessionism) essentially teaches that the church has replaced Israel in God’s plan. Adherents of replacement theology believe the Jews are no longer God’s chosen people, and God does not have specific future plans for the nation of Israel. All the different views of the relationship between the church and Israel can be divided into two camps: either the church is a continuation of Israel (replacement/covenant theology), or the church is completely different and distinct from Israel (dispensationalism/premillennialism).
To hold to the replacement theology, one has to totally ignore Ezekiel chapter 37 where God speaks through the prophet, of his plans for restoring his people and bringing them back as one nation. Therefore, nowhere in the scriptures does the LORD state that he will replace Israel (including the Jews) with another people. We Gentiles & Jews are all still people who are called by His name.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
You may think wait, aren’t Israel & the Jews the same? Well, true, Jews are Israelites but not all Israelites are Jews, as with Georgia: Georgians are Americans, but not all Americans are Georgians.
Israel is the changed name for Jacob, the son of Isaac and grandson to Abraham. The Nation of Israel (Israelites) is made up of the offspring of the 12 sons of Israel (aka: Jacob)
Genesis 32:27 (the Angel of the Lord wrestling with Jacob) And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, (he will rule as God) and hast prevailed.
H3478 יִשְׂרָאֵל yiśrâ’êlyis-raw-ale’
From H8280 and H410; he will rule as God; Jisrael, a symbolical name of Jacob; also (typically) of his posterity: – Israel.
Israel (Jacob) had 12 sons, who each became the head of their descendants. These later became known as the Twelve Tribes. Joseph, the next to the youngest, was favored by his father.
Genesis 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of manycolours (multicultural).
(Continue reading this awesome story in Genesis 37 through Genesis 45).
The Split of Israel into Two Nations
Israel became divided (not by God, but by man) into two Kingdoms in 925-922 BC, after the death of Solomon. These two Kingdoms became: Israel (Northern) and Judah (Southern) the latter actually became known later as the Jews, a combination of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin. The tribe of Benjamin is made up of the descendants of the younger of the Sons of Jacob (Israel); and the Jews of today are the remnant of that kingdom. The Apostle Paul was also from the tribe of Benjamin.
Those Who Call Themselves Jews and Are Not
There is a buzz today that most Jews of our day are not descendants of Abraham but of King Bulan and the people of ancient Khazaria. Those who are producing this buzz are accusing the Khazars of being those who Christ is speaking about in Revelation 2:9 & 2:10.
“Khazars, confederation of Turkic and Iranian tribes that established a major commercial empire in the second half of the 6th century, covering the southeastern section of modern European Russia… In the middle of the 8th century the ruling classes adopted Judaism as their religion.” (Encyclopedia Britannica (15th edition)
The buzz in the news and from the internet has become a reflection from the Revelation verses:
Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Albeit, that these became converted Jews, and not descendants of Israel (Jacob) but let’s put it back into context of what the scriptures are saying and to who, and at what time was it being spoken. The Revelation of Christ to John was penned around 68 AD. Christ was in agreement with The Churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia and their concern of those who weren’t Jews but calling themselves as such. So since this was before the 8th Century, the two Churches and Jesus were not speaking of the Khazarians.
These who Jesus is speaking of are not knowingly worshippers of Satan, as those who call themselves Satanists, but are a description of the NON God inward approach to their religion, therefore making themselves appear as part of the creed outwardly (by rote). These are the ones who carry the Lord’s name in vain. A good example of this we seein the Gospels, the leaders of the Jews who constantly criticized, denounced and condemned Jesus. (If you have not read it, please do so beginning with John 16:20-19:42)
2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
However, there were a people who infiltrated in with the tribes and became strong with the tribes of Judah and Levi, although Levitates who were the priestly tribe were scattered though all of the twelve tribes. These were the children of Cain, also known as the Kenites. These became the NETHINIMS
– Servants of the Levites – Return from the captivity (SUB)
Strong’s # 5411 Nathiyn (naw-theen’); or Nathuwn (Ezra 8:17) (naw-thoon’) (the proper form as passive participle), from 5414; one given, i.e. (in the plural only) the Nethinim, or Temple-servants (as given to that duty): KJV– Nethinims. (DIC)
These later became Scribes and Priests in the Sanhedrin and were among the controlling Priests of the Temple in the days of Jesus/Yeshua.
Ezekiel 44:7 In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, [ Priest offering the sacrifices to God] and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.
Jesus constantly called these hypocrites. He rebuked them for being double dealers, in that they were more concerned with their outwardly appearance to the people rather than the inward one to God. He also told them that if Abraham were truly their Father then they would know him.
John 8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.
John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
The Apostle Paul wrote:
Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
So if the Jews are the remnant of the Southern Kingdom of Judah, where is the remnant of the Northern Kingdom? These were captured first by the Assyrians and scattered amongst the nations, by this we mean that the Assyrians were good about mixing the camps of their captives together, to dilute the nationalities and cultures. However, God had a greater plan because his people are ALWAYS his people. The stronger of these captive mixtures were actual members of the ten tribes of Israel and remembered and preserved in their hearts who and whose they were: Through it all they remembered God and his commandments were still to be kept. These later migrated to the Caucus Mountains, and became known today as Caucasians, spreading through Europe and to the Americas.
I’ve learned much from this video about what happened to the Northern Kingdom and where did they go:
The Ten Lost Tribes | Where They Went, What They Are Now Called
Yehshua (Jesus) sent His 12 Apostles to go to the Lost sheep of the House of Israel and to them alone. Where did they go and to whom did the Apostles preach? In this teaching we are about to show you what the nations of the world, the victors who were the overlords over the Ten Tribes in captivity, called the nation of Israel. We will walk you through each generation showing you the documentation from historical records what they were called and then show you where they migrated to and when. You’re about to learn that the Bible is your Family history and not some religious book about other people.
This video explains in detail of where the other 10 (11) tribes are today, scattered throughout the world
We constantly refer to the 12 Tribes of Israel when there are in fact 13. Jacob passed on Joseph’s blessing to his (Joseph’s) two sons: Manasseh and Ephraim. These are included with the other 11 of Joseph’s brothers. I know 12 + 2 = 14, but remember, Joseph’s blessing was passed on to his two sons. Therefore: 12-1+2=13.
Genesis 48:17 And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head unto Manasseh’s head.
18 And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.
19 And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he (Manasseh) also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations (Multicultural).
Although, this realization has been scoffed at from time to time, the offspring of these make up Great Britain & America. This has been ridiculed as British–Israelism. However, what we’re talking about is the history the 13 Tribes of Israel which can be confirmed by the Encyclopedia Britannica.
Genesis 48:20 And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.
21 And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.
22 Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.
God tells his Prophets, Jeremiah & Ezekiel that he loves Ephraim (the name of the youngest son of Joseph, which this same name was given to the Northern Kingdom).
Jeremiah 31:20Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.
Ezekiel 37:16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?
19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
Therefore God is bringing, in the end days, Judah (the Jews) and Israel’s other offspring together as one nation.
As for the Christian, these are the saved, the branches of the wild olive who are grafted into an already existing Olive Tree. The Apostle Paul teaches about this well. Notice how he shows that the wild olive branches DO NOT replace the original branches, but are grafted in:
Romans 11:16 For if the firstfruit (salvation recipients of the fristfruits of Resurrection, Christ) be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear (respect) :
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in(saved): for God is able to graff them in again.
Many Christians today, are re-examining the Torah and the Tanakh (Hebrew for Old Testament) , and are finding that Christ is the fulfillment of all that has been written in The Old Testament. He is the Word of God and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and brought us the New Testament (New and better Covenant). These are not going back to the old way, for that is sin, but see what Christ has done in fulfilling the law, while not changing one bit.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
The Feasts of the Lord
Messianic thinking Christians have diligently searched and learned that Jesus is in all seven of the Feasts of The Lord (aka of Israel).
The Passover: the type in shadow of Christ’s eventual sacrifice on the cross, (The Blood of the Lamb of God smeared on the hearts of the saved, causing the Death Angel to pass by).
“Three Old Covenant Holy Feast Days fell within a one-week period: Passover, Unleavened Bread and the Feast of Firstfruits. In the 1st Century this entire 8-day period was know as the Passover Feast or the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Matthew 26:17; Mark 14:12; Luke 22:1 & John 18:28). The celebrations of these Old Covenant Holy Days were prescribed by the Laws of the Sinai Covenant and are found in Exodus chapter 12, in Leviticus chapter 23 and Numbers 28. For more information please see the chart on “The Seven Sacred Annual Feasts Days of the Old Covenant” in the charts section of www.agapebiblestudy.com. Please note that the Jewish day began at sundown.” http://www.agapebiblestudy.com/documents/The%20Passover%20Feast%20and%20the%20Week%20of%20Christ’s%20Passon.htm
Some scholars believe that Christ was called the LAMB OF GOD, because the Zodiac (Mazzaroth in Hebrew) went from the House of Aries (Ram) into Pisces (Fish). While that may be true and the terms fish and fishermen were used by Jesus’ in his teachings, a more comprehensible meaning springs up. To any believer, whether Jew or Christian, the understanding of the forgiveness of sin (yearly atonement) could only made possible by the sacrificing of the unblemished lamb (Paschal Lamb – mandated by the Torah).
This proclamation was done as a reflection of Passover, when the Israelites were spared of demise by the Death Angel prior to being led out of Egypt. Therefore, Jesus’ coming alleviates this decree, as the plan was that Jesus’ death was to end this sacrifice of the Paschal lamb. Hence this is the only sacrifice The Lord will accept: The Lamb Of God.
John 1:29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Unleavened Bread: Christ ran the merchants (the leavened) out of the Temple.
Mar 11:15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Exodus 12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.
Exodus 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses (as Jesus did for His Father’s house on the eve of Passover in the temple with the merchants-leaven):
1 Corinthians 58 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
The Feasts of Firstfruits: Sheaf of Barely was offered and waved before the Lord, as sign of the firstfruits harvest after the Passover. Christ is the Firstfruits of the Resurrection from the dead.
Leviticus 23:10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Pentecost (Feast of Weeks): Beginning of the wheat harvesting for seven weeks.
Leviticus 23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days(Pentecost); and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
Acts2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
The Feast of Trumpets: About four months after Pentecost, Trumpets was a day of rest, and celebrated with Blasts of Trumpets.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
(Trumpet throughout the new testaments mentioned as “Trump” and relates to time segments of the last days of this age in Revelation).
1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur): Priests offered sacrifices for themselves and the people. The Scapegoat was sent out into the wilderness. Two sashes were dipped in the blood of the sacrificial lamb, tied to the horn of the Scapegoat and one on the door of the temple. When God forgave the sins of the people, the sash on the temple turned to white. However, for forty some odd years after the crucifixion, the sash remained blood red. This is a type and shadow of the Blood of Christ, the Lamb of God, saving those who will be saved from eternal death; and the sash remaining blood red was a sign that no other sacrifices will the LORD honor.
Hebrews 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
The Feast of Tabernacles (booths): commemorated the Children of Israel’s wondering in the wilderness for forty years. The camp surrounded the tabernacle of the LORD, where the LORD dwelt with them (in a tent) in the center.
Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Mathew quotes this prophecy passage and explains what the name Immanuel means.
Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
2 Corinthians 5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
Hebrews 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
2 Peter 1:14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Israel, Those Who Bless & Those Who Curse Her and Her Son
Revelation 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
We should see by now that all through the Bible, Satan through the Nations has taken up arms against Israel and her child (Yeshua HaMaschic-Jesus the Christ) as both Jews and Christians have been, and are now being persecuted.
The nations that have cursed Israel are those of the Middle East, which we can witness even unto today.
Again, it seems that the war is about land, the land of Israel; two nations fighting in the name of two different gods; one that is called the God of Love and the other the calls himself the Greatest Deceiver. Both nations battle for the same property and city that the LORD calls his own, Jerusalem. One nation is divided and the other is not but stands in unity in the city which is not only the center of the earth but seems to be the center of the universe. The United States, because of its early Judeo-Christian beliefs have supported Israel. However this is changing and for reasons of political correctness, the US will ignore the spiritual fortitude it was built upon, and will withdraw support for Israel, altogether.
This country is trying to honor the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights and at the same time remove from its actions any religious association with Israel. They are trying to maintain a secular approach, while that the same time through God’s people; the association with Israel is also spiritual.
Just a note: Jerusalem’s original name was Shalem (Salem) the same as Shalom: Peace.
